When I want to enter into a Juried Contest whether it is sponsored by a Vendor, Magazine or Publishers, I always try to create a flower and a design that is different then anything I have done before. I don't make jewelry except as a showpiece or to display at the beads shows but I sometimes sell the work after the event is finished. This necklace will be for sale now.
The violets are actually made with Moretti Glass and even though they come in a variety of colors in the garden I thought the purple would be far more appealing. This necklace has a lot of flowers, leaves and weaving but it also has a silver catepillar that is jointed as the center focal point of the necklace and is a one of a kind focal.
